However, to make Bradford Inspired Futures as successful as possible there are a number of people and organisations, including Bradford Metropolitan District Council, involved in running the scheme - all dedicated to encouraging new businesses and creating jobs in Bradford District.
This means that the personal data that you give us when you register to become a member of Inspired Futures could be shared with any or all of the Inspired Futures partners - depending on what support and advice you need to get your business started. However, your information will only be used within the Inspired Futures scheme and will not be shared for any other purpose, unless we are legally obliged to do so.
All the Inspired Futures partners are committed to ensuring that your personal information is kept private and protected by following the Data Protection Act 1998.
1. Your information and how we use it
You do not have to give us any personal data or private information about yourself unless you want to become a member of Inspired Futures.
Our system does automatically gather certain usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors. This collective data helps us understand how much visitors use specific parts of our site, so that we can improve it and make sure that it is accessible for as many people as possible.
If you visit our site just to read or download information, we will collect and store only the following information about your visit:
- The name of the domain from which you access the Internet, and the Internet Protocol (IP) address or host name, which does not usually identify a specific computer.
- The date and time you access our site.
- The pages you visit.
- The Internet address of any website from which you linked directly to our site.
- This information (web access logs) does not contain any personal data or private information, and we do not make any attempt to link the information in the logs with the individuals who actually visit our site. We collect web access log information for internal monitoring only.
We'll never sell your personal data to third party list brokers or direct marketing companies.
2. Submitting personal data or private informationWe will collect personal data or private information only if you specifically and knowingly provide it including, but not limited to, the use of electronic forms. In addition, our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
When you supply any personal data or private information in this way, we have legal obligations to explain why we are requesting the information, and then use it only for the purposes described when the information is collected. We must tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else.
In general, any information you provide will only be accessed by authorised partners of Bradford Kickstart. We will never share your personal data or private information outside of Bradford Inspired Futures without first obtaining your consent, unless we are required by law to disclose it.
3. Cookies
These are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any information that could be used to discover your identity.
We only use cookies when you are providing us with personal data or private information, such as filling in a form online. These hold only a sequential session identification number and are deleted at the end of the transaction.
Future developments may include the use of cookies to enhance our personalised services to customers, but this usage will always be optional. Users can set their computer to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive any cookies at any time. The last of these options may mean that personalised services cannot then be provided to that user.
4. Security
Electronic data and networks controlled by Inspired Futures are subject to strict security arrangements, both physical (such as firewalls and anti-virus protection), and administrative (non-disclosure and confidentiality) to ensure that any personal data entered onto the site is protected against loss, misuse or alteration.
However, due to the nature of the Internet, we can't guarantee the protection of your personal information and we can't be responsible for any outcomes resulting from a breach of security when the website is used.
We're confident in our security, and it is always a top priority to ensure we do not get any problems.
5. Access to your personal information
You have complete control over the information stored about you and what types of information, if any, you'd like to receive. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Sometimes you may be asked to provide proof of identity before we show you your personal information- that's so we can prevent unauthorised access. We want to make sure that no-one else gets hold of your data!
6. Links
Our site contains links to and from other web sites hosted by other organisations. These web sites may deal with privacy differently, and Inspired Futures has no responsibility or liability for the privacy practices, or the content of, any linked site. If you have any concerns in this area, please contact us.
7. Privacy policy changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
